OnePlus 12R, or the rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3, is expected to launch in India on January 23, 2024, with the flagship OnePlus 12. The phone will take after the OnePlus 11R launched last year (or the OnePlus Ace 2) and bring a near-flagship experience with a mid-range price. However, about three weeks ahead of the official launch, an Indian tipster has leaked the OnePlus 12R color options.
OnePlus 12R In Iron Grey And Cool Blue
Per an X (formerly known as Twitter) post by tipster Ishan Agarwal, the OnePlus 12R global variant will come in Black and Blue colors. Agarwal has uploaded a poster of the upcoming smartphone on his account, which also contains the launch date (January 23, 2024) and the launch time (07:30 PM IST).
While the black color looks similar to what we’ve seen in previous models, the blue color brings a new hue to the OnePlus ‘R’ series. It is a lighter, metallic shade of sky blue. The shiny camera module also appears to be of the same color. The tipster has also uploaded a teaser video of the upcoming phones. These colors are in line with what previous reports suggested.
OnePlus 12R To Arrive In A Golden Option Limited To China
While the OnePlus 12R will arrive in India and globally in two colors, the official Weibo account of the company has teased the OnePlus Ace 3 in gold color as well. Moreover, the design language of the phone remains similar to its predecessor. The OnePlus 12R or the OnePlus Ace 3 will come with a slightly curved display, a glass panel on the back, and a metallic middle frame that holds the front and the rear components together.
OnePlus 12R Leaked Specifications
Regarding specifications, reports suggest that the OnePlus 12R could come with a 6.78-inch LTPO screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, the smartphone should run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the chipset that powers most 2023 Android flagships, including OnePlus 11 and Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series. Further, the handset should feature 6 or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage.
The OnePlus 12R should also feature a triple-rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro shooter. The phone should be powered by a 5,500 mAh battery for 100W wired charging. Moreover, the OnePlus 12R is a toned-down version of the OnePlus 12 that is supposed to come out on the same date.
