The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has launched the third entrant in the OnePlus 13 lineup: the OnePlus 13s. While the handset offers flagship performance, thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it achieves this while maintaining a compact form factor, making it easier to use and carry around. Other key features include a 50MP telephoto camera, a massive battery that supports 80W fast charging, and an attractive price.
OnePlus 13s Design

Despite being a part of the OnePlus 13 series, the OnePlus 13s differs from the OnePlus 13 (review) and the OnePlus 13R (review) in one key aspect: form factor. Compared to the other two phones, the OnePlus 13s is more compact, making it easier to handle with one hand.
- OnePlus 13: 162.9 x 76.5 x 8.5 mm or 8.9 mm; 210 or 213 grams
- OnePlus 13R: 161.7 x 75.8 x 8 mm; 206 grams
- OnePlus 13s: 150.8 x 71.7 x 8.2 mm; 185 grams
On the front, the phone gets a punch-hole screen with minimal bezels on all sides (relatively thicker at the bottom). The right side of the aluminum frame houses the power button and the volume keys, while the left side houses the new Plus Key.

The OnePlus 13s features a squarish camera module on its otherwise minimal back panel, which protrudes outward. It houses a vertical, blacked-out pill-shaped cutout that features both the camera sensors and the LED flash module.
- OnePlus 13s colors: Black Velvet, Green Silk, and Pink Satin (not available for the 512GB variant)
Additionally, the phone also has an official IP65 dust and water resistance rating, which isn’t as good as the one on the flagship but should keep the phone safe against accidental splashes or sprinkles of water.
OnePlus 13s Key Specifications And Features

First up, the OnePlus 13s features a 6.32-inch 1.5L LTPO AMOLED screen that supports a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 1600 nits of peak brightness (minimum brightness of 1.1 nits), and a pixel density of 460 ppi (lower than the flagship OnePlus 13). The screen also supports Dolby Vision content. Complementing the screen is a stereo speaker setup.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) chipset, making it more powerful than the OnePlus 13R. The chipset features two 4.32 GHz prime cores, six 3.53 GHz performance cores, the Adreno 830 GPU, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Out of the box, the phone runs on OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15. Furthermore, the company has promised to offer four years of operating systems and six years of security updates with the device. Even though the software support is not on par with the industry’s best, four years is a decent time.

The handset also features several AI-based features, including Google’s Circle to Search, AI Search, AI VoiceScribe, AI Reframe, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Unblur, and many more. Buyers can program the Plus Key to perform various tasks, including switching between ringer modes, opening specific applications, or accessing the AI Plus Mind Space.
