OnePlus is preparing for a December 17 launch event that shifts focus to the upper mid-range segment after introducing the flagship OnePlus 15 earlier this month. The company will unveil the OnePlus 15R along with two new ecosystem devices, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet and the OnePlus Watch Lite smartwatch.
The OnePlus 15R is set to act as a more affordable counterpart to the flagship model. Reports indicate it will ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset (which was announced today). Battery capacity is expected to be 8,000 mAh, paired with 100W charging.

Camera hardware appears more modest. Early information points to a dual lens setup including a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP secondary camera, likely an ultra-wide lens. Display specifications are still unclear although sources hint at a 165 Hz OLED panel.
Durability ratings include IP66, IP68 and IP69. The phone will be available in two colors, Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze. The design is similar to the OnePlus 13s, with a longer but narrower module on the side. OnePlus has already announced pre launch incentives through its subscription program.

Alongside the smartphone, OnePlus is readying the Pad Go 2 and Watch Lite. The Pad Go 2 will bring stylus support to the entry tier tablet series, creating a budget friendly option for students and casual users. The Watch Lite is said to bring core health tracking and basic notifications for buyers seeking an affordable wearable.

The OnePlus 15R is expected to launch at a price of ₹44,999 in India. What are your thoughts on the device? Let us know in the comments section below.
