OnePlus 7 Will Allegedly Launch On May 14; Multiple Variants In Tow

OnePlus could launch OnePlus 7 on May 14. This time around, the company is expected to come out with three phones in the OnePlus 7 series. The company’s next-gen could comprise of OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and a OnePlus Pro 5G phone.

Reputed tipster Ishan Aggarwal spotted OnePlus 7 release details on Weibo and shared them on his twitter handle. He also affirmed the multiple variants of OnePlus 2019 edition. He added the launch info of OnePlus 7 Pro variant alongside a previously surfaced Weibo poster. The said poster hinted at the pro model name coupled with the tagline, “Go Beyond Speed”.

This would be a first time for the company to expand its lineup with varied models. Earlier, they only offered different RAM+Storage choices. So, it would be ‘more the merrier’ sort of year for the OnePlus cultists.

OnePlus 7 phone renders, case leaks and alleged actual device have been spotted all across the web. A recent device leak showcased a OnePlus phone with GM1915 model number, which would be the first time for the company to opt a different alphabet other than its A-lettered model denomination. So, speculations loom over a pro version.

A 5G OnePlus phone is a safe bet as the company is torch-bearer for 5G development. They had put forward programs to boost the 5G momentum during the MWC bustle.

In terms of specs and features, the company could showcase the industrial trends such as pop-up camera mechanism to attain a full display. Rumors place their money on triple cameras comprising a 48MP coupled with 16MP, and 8MP sensors. The pro-variant could sport a curved 6.67-inch Super Optic display.

Other things to look out for would be the internals such as Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and Oxygen OS UI based on Android 9.0 Pie.
