OnePlus is stacking up its game every year to give the top flagships a tough time. This time around, the flagship killer would be brandishing a top of the rung design and performance thanks to its high-end hardware. The display would be an area integral to the whole OnePlus 7 Pro experience. An A+ Top Tier Display Rating from DisplayMate could be a validation of the same.

DisplayMate is a leading name for display certification granted after extensive in-depth lab tests and measurements. The certifying body praises the brand to have raised the bar with its OnePlus 7 Pro display. It underlines the various parameters where the new display did an impressive job such as color accuracy, brightness, contrast accuracy or pixel density.

You could expect a DisplayMate’s in-depth Display Technology Shoot-Out article on OnePlus 7 Pro released simultaneously with the launch event on 14th May 2019 at 8.15 PM.

OnePlus 7 Pro Expected Display Features

Straight off the bat, the 2K panel with a 90Hz refresh rate would be an eye-catcher. Pete Lau also claimed that the display costs thrice as much as other flagship displays. Pete Lau has touted the display costs to jump 3X as much as other flagship displays.

It would feature ‘Safety for Eyes’ or Bluelight filter certification from the independent and neutral VDE Testing and Certification Institute. Furthermore, within the settings, you could tinker with the display’s color gamut and color temperature to get the most suitable screen calibration.

The leaked spec sheet shows the display to be a 6.7-inch 90Hz panel with 3120×1440 pixel resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and curved side edges. This would feature an in-display fingerprint scanner as well like the OnePlus 6T (review).

It is a matter of days before we could witness the device in all its glory and experience the new display.
