OnePlus is working on a Dimensity-powered Ace 2 in China. It was the first time OnePlus China confirmed the upcoming device when OnePlus CN President Li Jie shared a teaser image with the caption “Ace Rabbit, Ace Two!”. The phone made it through the National Compulsory Product Certification in the country hinting at an imminent launch.

Li’s post doesn’t share many details about the upcoming device. It does show a triple camera setup housed in a circular camera bump connected to the left edge of the device. The phone does resemble the of OnePlus 11 5G although with some serious drains in terms of the specifications.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition was spotted on MIIT certification in China as well which confirmed it will get an 80W fast charging tech. It is 20W less than what the specifications rumors have to say about the charging tech at 80W. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of details on the official accord although we do have leaked specs to have a glance at.

Talking about the specs sheet, there’s a 6.74” OLED FHD+ panel on the device housing a punch-hole cutout. Tipster Yogesh Brar said the same adding a 120Hz refresh rate on the roster. As the device is named ‘Ace 2 Dimensity Edition’, we will likely see a Dimensity 9000 SoC under the hood. It will be flanked with up to 12 or 16GB RAM while the storage could max at 256GB or 512GB.
On the optics front, we have a 64MP primary plus 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro shooter. The primary snapper here is an OmniVision OV64M with OIS while the UW secondary cam is a Sony IMX355 unit. The Ace 2 Dimensity Edition will likely get a 16MP snapper at the front.
There’s an alert slider on the right, improved haptics, and Android 13-powered ColorOS on the device as well. On the battery side, although the capacity is 5,000mAh, the charging speeds are at 80W and not 100W as per the specs doing the rounds of the internet.
OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity Edition Launch is expected to formulate someone in March in its home country. There’s a heavy inclination toward the first week when we can expect the announcement although let’s take it with a pinch of salt.
For the unversed, there’s a OnePlus Ace 2 in China that houses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It was released in the first week of February 2023 alongside OnePlus 11 5G Global Launch. The Dimensity Edition will get the flagship Dimensity processor with slight changes in the specs as seen above.
