Oneplus recently launched the OnePlus Pad which went on sale in India on the 25th of April. Now, Oneplus is working on taking innovation to the next level as the brand’s expected to launch its first-ever Foldable, namely OnePlus Fold. The foldable was first teased by OnePlus during the MWC 2023 in February wherein OnePlus claimed that its 1st foldable would not compromise its folding form and give a smoother performance than its competitors.

The latest we hear is that OnePlus Fold might launch in August, as claimed by a tipster on Twitter. If this happens, the timing of the launch will be interesting as Google is also about to announce its foldable, Google Pixel Fold this month on the 10th of May. Moreover, Samsung is also rumored to launch its next generation of foldables- Galaxy Z Flip 5 & Galaxy Z Fold 5 in Unpacked Part 2 in July or August.

OnePlus Foldable in August?

Tipster Max Jambor shared the news via his Twitter account and we are yet to hear more about the features of this upcoming device.

OnePlus Fold’s development is being overseen by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau so this foldable might have some inspiration from Oppo Find N foldable as well. This is because Pete Lau looks after some Oppo devices as well so the similarities between the two will not be really surprising.

During the presentation in February, President Kinder Liu said, “Our First foldable phone will have the signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience. It must be a flagship phone that doesn’t settle because of its folding form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology, and other aspects. We want to launch a device that aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today’s foldable market.”
