After much anticipation, the OnePlus Nord 4 has finally been launched. It’s the first 5G smartphone to come with an all-metal design and the first OnePlus phone to get four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
Truly, it’s a great phone. However, it’s not meant for all kinds of users. So, if you are looking for the best alternatives to the OnePlus Nord 4 in a similar price range, you are in the right place. Let’s explore the alternatives of the OnePlus Nord 4.
OnePlus Nord 4 Recap
Before we get started with the alternatives, let’s quickly recap the OnePlus Nord 4. The Nord 4 has a 6.74” 1.5K 120 Hz flat OLED display with 2160 Hz PWM dimming and 2,150 Nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the Nord 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC which is paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The Nord 4 has a large 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. And yes, the charger is included in the box. The phone will be running on OxygenOS 14.1 based on Android 14 and will receive four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
On the camera side of things, the phone is equipped with the 50 MP LYT-600 wide-angle lens (OIS) coupled with an 8 MP IMX 355 ultra-wide lens. There is a 16 MP camera on the front for capturing selfies.
The phone has the iconic OnePlus Alert Slider, NFC, BT 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual-stereo speakers. The Nord 4 comes in three colorways—Obsidian Midnight, Oasis Green, and Mercurial Silver.

The POCO F6 (review) is a good choice for gamers. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and delivers better sustained performance compared to the Nord 4 or the realme GT 6T. The phone has an all-plastic build and it will get three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.

The realme GT 6T (review) is another good choice. It’s essentially a clone of the Nord 4, but with a plastic build and three years of OS updates along with four years of security updates. Besides the build and updates, there is no significant difference between the Nord 4 and the realme GT 6T, including the software for the most part.
If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, the realme GT 6T is a great option. It has the same Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset and the same camera setup.
However, there is a difference in the display. The Nord 4 features a flat OLED display, while the realme GT 6T boasts a 3D curved OLED display. Additionally, the realme GT 6T has an LTPO display, unlike the Nord 4.

The chipset here is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, which is slightly underpowered compared to the 7+ Gen 3 on the Nord 4, but it’s still manageable. Keep in mind that this device comes with UFS 2.2 storage, so consider that in your buying decision.

Summing up
The OnePlus Nord 4 is great but not for everyone. First off, if you want the Nord 4 for cheaper with some minor changes, the realme GT 6T is the way to go. If you’re a gaming enthusiast, the POCO F6 or the iQOO Neo9 Pro will be a better choice for you.
However, if you are a camera enthusiast, then I would recommend waiting for the Honor 200, or the motorola edge 50 Pro or the vivo V30. Note that the vivo V30 doesn’t have a zoom lens, so make your buying decision accordingly.
