OnePlus has officially announced the Summer Launch Event scheduled for July 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM IST, where the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE 5, and OnePlus Buds 4 will make their debut in India and global markets. Here’s everything you need to know about the devices.
OnePlus Nord 5

Visually, the OnePlus Nord 5 comes with a new design. Also, the antenna bands seem to be missing, pointing towards a plastic frame, though we are expecting a glass back. The renders also reveal that the OnePlus Nord 5 will feature the new Plus Key, replacing the Alert Slider on the Nord 4.
On the performance front, the Nord 5 becomes the first Nord phone powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chip, specifically the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Yes, not the 8s Gen 4 we were anticipating. OnePlus says it’s some 70% faster than the Galaxy A56. The Nord 5 also features a large 7300 mm² vapor chamber and graphene-based cooling to keep things cool.

Thus, Gaming is clearly one of the selling points, with support for native 90 FPS in BGMI, and up to 144 FPS with frame interpolation. Call of Duty Mobile will run natively at 144 FPS as well. And yes, it will feature a 144 Hz display on the front, possibly the highest refresh rate we’ve seen on a OnePlus phone in India.
OnePlus Nord CE5 and OnePlus Buds 4

Meanwhile, the Nord CE5 will also debut at the same event. While the design language stays fairly close to the Nord 5, this model is said to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC. We also hinted the same in our exclusive story on the CE5’s specs.
In addition to the two smartphones, OnePlus will also introduce the Buds 4. These earbuds bring Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 support, and 3D Spatial Audio, with Game Mode offering ultra-low 47ms latency. Color options at launch will include Zen Green and Storm Gray.

Pricing hasn’t been officially disclosed, but judging by OnePlus’ approach with the previous Nord 4 and Nord CE4, the new models are likely to fall in the same ballpark.
