Amid its CEO stepping down and a global brand restructuring, OnePlus is gearing up to release the Nord 6 in India. The brand has confirmed the smartphone’s launch date, along with a couple of key specifications, which look quite impressive on paper.
Ahead of the April 2026 launch, we’ve drafted a comprehensive roundup of the smartphone that gives you a fair idea of what it offers in exchange for its rather hefty price tag.
OnePlus Nord 6 Roundup: Release Date & Price
The Nord 6 will launch in India on April 7, 2026, at 07:00 PM IST. It will be available in three finishes: Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Holographic Quick Silver. Interested buyers can get the phone from Amazon India, the company’s official website, and offline stores.
There’s no word on the handset’s pricing. However, looking at the specifications, the smartphone could be priced between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 40,000, which is noticeablehike over the Nord 5 (review).

OnePlus Nord 6 Roundup: Display

The display department is where the Nord 6 makes some of its boldest claims. According to the official microsite, the Nord 6 delivers “steady-smooth 165 FPS” in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), one of the most popular battle royale video games in India. Additional gaming-related features include an all-new Touch Reflex chip (which should improve the instant touch sampling rate) and the “6-axis console controller gyro.”
The smartphone that the Nord 6 is based on — the OnePlus Turbo 6 — sports a 6.78-inch display that supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, and a pixel density of 450 ppi. There’s a good chance that the Nord 6 will borrow these specifications from the China-only lineup.

OnePlus Nord 6 Roundup: Performance

Under the hood, the Nord 6 is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (4nm) SoC. The octa-core chipset features a 3.2 GHz prime core, the Adreno 835 GPU, and a power NPU. Customers will also get up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Together, the combination should provide snappy performance, quick app loading times, and seamless multitasking.
We’ve tested the chipset on the Poco F7 5G (review), where it scored over 1.8 million points on AnTuTu V10 and single- and multi-core scores of 2,046 and 6,545 on the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark. The scores are quite respectable for mid-range performance smartphones. Out of the box, the Nord 6 runs OxygenOS 16 (review), based on Android 16.
The Nord 6 is also confirmed to come with an all-new G2 Wi-Fi chip that enhances Wi-Fi coverage in dead zones and boosts speeds in congested networks.

OnePlus Nord 6 Roundup: Cameras

While the official microsite doesn’t throw much light on the NOrd 6’s camera system, we can still look at the Turbo 6’s specifications and give you a fair idea. The China-only Turbo 6 ships with a 50MP (f/1.9) primary camera with optical image stabilization, an auxiliary lens (most likely a depth sensor), and a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie shooter.
What’s good is that the OnePlus Nord 6 should be able to record 4K60 videos, thanks to its high-resolution primary camera and the powerful chipset. However, there are plenty of smartphones in the same segment that come with a better camera system (take the Phone (4a) Pro as an example).
While OnePlus might improve the selfie camera’s resolution and replace the auxiliary lens with an 8MP ultrawide sensor, other camera specifications might remain the same in India.

OnePlus Nord 6 Roundup: Battery & Charging Speed

If there’s one aspect where the Nord 6 truly stands out and claims to outperform the brand’s latest flagship (the OnePlus 15), it’s battery life. The smartphone is confirmed to boast a massive 9,000 mAh battery, which should easily last for two-days between charges, especially with light to moderate usage.
On the charging front, the Nord 6 should support 80W wired charging (with bypass charging), which should charge the handset in around 70 to 80 minutes. The phone might also support 27W wired charging.
