OnePlus has been expanding its tablet lineup, and after the Pad Go aimed at more budget-conscious users, they’ve now launched the Pad Lite as a more affordable option. Targeting the budget market under ₹15,000, it’s positioned as the “go-to tablet for everyday essentials.”
We’re talking a decent MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, a massive 9340 mAh battery, an 11-inch 90Hz LCD, and quad speakers. Add in OxygenOS 15 with seamless phone integration, and you’ve got a tablet that’s punching above its weight in value. I’ve been using the Pad Lite for a week, and here’s my review.

OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Unboxing
Unboxing the OnePlus Pad Lite, you get the tablet, a 33W fast charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and the standard paperwork like warranty card and quick start guide. No case or screen protector is included, so you’ll want to pick up a third-party tempered glass and folio case right away – plenty of options on Amazon for under ₹500.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Design and Build

The OnePlus Pad Lite keeps things simple when it comes to design. It sports a corner-mounted camera setup that blends in nicely, giving it that OG OnePlus Pad look. At 7.4 mm thick and just 530g, it’s easy to hold for long sessions, whether you’re binge-watching or browsing.

The aluminum alloy frame with a plastic back feels sturdy enough for daily use. The Aero Blue color has a subtle, matte finish that’s fingerprint-resistant and also looks nice. However, no IP rating means you’ll have to keep it away from water, but the build holds up well against rivals.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Display

The 11-inch FHD+ LCD (1200 x 1920) on the OnePlus Pad Lite is fine for the price, with a 90Hz refresh rate that keeps scrolling smooth. At 207 PPI, it’s not sharp. However, for PDFs, ebooks, and videos, it’s still fine. And with 500 Nits of brightness, outdoor use is fine but you’ll struggle in extreme sunlight.
The 1080p-ish resolution isn’t the crispest; you’ll notice softer edges compared to 1.5K or 2K screens on other tabs. But after a day or two, it fades into the background, especially for casual content. The 16:10 aspect ratio works well for media, with minimal black bars, and touch response at 180Hz feels responsive. Eye comfort modes are here, but no HDR support.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Speakers

The quad speakers on the OnePlus Pad Lite are good, Hi-Res certified for clear, balanced sound with decent bass. They’re not the best around, but in this segment, they punch hard, as movies sound immersive, and they’re pretty loud too.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Software

OxygenOS 15 on Android 15 powers the OnePlus Pad Lite, and it’s impressively clean for a budget device. OnePlus promises 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches, which is insane value that outlasts most competitors. Plus, a 36-month fluent performance guarantee means it should stay smooth for at least three years.

The UI is snappy, with Open Canvas for easy multitasking like split-screen or app pairs. Bloatware is minimal, and you can disable extras. However, animations are absent, which makes transitions feel plain compared to flagship OxygenOS.
Still, day-to-day use is smoooth, and switching between 3-4 apps is a non-issue (it starts to struggle with more apps). Most apps scale well to the tablet form (there are issues with some apps though), and if you’re in the OnePlus ecosystem, it’s a seamless fit.
OnePlus AI

Surprisingly, you also have some AI features on this budget tablet, like the AI Eraser 2.0, AI Detail Boost, AI Unblur, and even AI Reflection Eraser. You also have an AI Assistant in the Notes app to help with generating, formatting, and proofreading text. Unfortunately, there’s no AI Summary or AI Speak in the sidebar. Gemini is here but the lack of Circle to Search is disappointing.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Biometrics

Biometrics are basic: 2D face unlock that’s quick in good light but falters in dim conditions. No fingerprint scanner is a huge miss and I am not sure why OnePlus doesn’t want to provide it on its tablets—yes, even the flagship OnePlus Pad 3 doesn’t have it.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Performance
The MediaTek Helio G100 chipset with up to 8 GB RAM makes the OnePlus Pad Lite a decent daily driver for the price. It’s definitely not a powerhouse, but for browsing, light editing, and casual games like Candy Crush or Asphalt, it holds up without lag.
UFS 2.2 storage is decent, though it might feel the strain after years of updates; better stick to the 3-year smooth promise for peace of mind. In tests, it handled multitasking fine, but this was tested on the 8GB variant.
For most students or light users, it delivers acceptable performance. Creative and heavy users might want to extend their budget and get something more powerful instead.
Synthetic Benchmarks

Geekbench 6 GPU (OpenCL) | 1401 |
Geekbench 6 GPU (Vulkan) | 1427 |

OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Cameras

Cameras on tablets are an afterthought, and the Pad Lite’s 5 MP rear is okay for scanning documents or video calling in good lighting. Video tops at 1080p @ 30fps, but it’s shaky. There is no flash, which is very disappointing and no document scanning mode either.
The 5 MP front is average for video calls in bright light, but low-light performance is grainy and almost unsable. Overall, the cameras are functional, nothing more. Just fine for the price.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Battery Life and Charging

The 9340 mAh battery is a beast, delivering 10-12 hours of mixed use like streaming and browsing. I squeezed 4-5 hours of content consumption at 20-30% drain. It’s perfect for all-day endurance.
33W charging juices it from 0-100% in about 2 hours, which is fast for the capacity and also the price segment. The included charger is a nice touch.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Connectivity Features
Pair it with a OnePlus phone, and you get seamless perks like notification sync, file sharing, and clipboard continuity. It works with OPPO/realme too, though limited. LTE on the 8GB variant adds mobile data freedom.
OnePlus Pad Lite Review: Accessories
There are no official accessories like a stylus or keyboard, which is a miss, and no stylus support at all (third-party ones might work but no palm rejection). Go third-party for cases (tri-fold folios work well) and screen protectors. A basic Bluetooth keyboard pairs easily for productivity, but expect to spend extra.
Review Verdict: Should You Buy the OnePlus Pad Lite?
The OnePlus Pad Lite lives up to its promise of being “lite” on price but heavy on the essentials. It can easily handle most everyday tasks like content consumption, reading PDFs, attending calls, and editing photos with ease. It’s not built for power users, but for casual users and anyone wanting a reliable secondary device, it offers great value. And if you’re already in the OnePlus world, the seamless phone-tablet connectivity makes it an even better buy.
