TL; DR
- Live images confirm the OnePlus Turbo, codenamed Prado, is launching in China with India likely next month.
- A huge 9,000 mAh battery with 80W charging is the main highlight, and also a 32 MP selfie camera.
- Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 being a weaker chipset than what we saw on the Nord CE 5, it could slot below the Nord CE 6, likely around the ₹20,000 segment.
Fresh live images of the OnePlus Turbo have surfaced just ahead of New Year, giving us a clear look at OnePlus’ next performance-focused phone. Internally codenamed Prado, the device is part of the Turbo lineup launching in China, with an India release also expected soon after, possibly as early as next month.
OnePlus Turbo Specs
Starting with the basics, the design remains familiar. A glossy plastic back, flat sides, and a dual-camera layout in the top-left corner keep things simple. On the front, the phone is expected to use a 6.8-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Colors seen so far include a greenish-blue shade and black.

Battery capacity is the clear focus. This Turbo model will pack a 9,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. That puts it well above what most mid-range and even upper mid-range phones currently offer, and it shows where OnePlus’ priorities lie with this device.

The camera setup is modest. On the back, there is a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide. On the front, the phone is a 32 MP selfie camera. There is also a chance this is the same 32 MP unit seen on the OnePlus 15R (review), and importantly, it could include autofocus.
Under the hood, the phone is said to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with configurations going up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The software will be OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.

OnePlus Turbo Expected Pricing
Given this chipset choice, the phone is likely to sit below OnePlus’ Nord CE, potentially landing around the ₹20,000 segment in India. This could also be seen as a successor to the Nord CE Lite, but under the Turbo name.

More importantly, this is not the only Turbo phone coming. OnePlus is planning a second, higher-end Turbo variant. That model is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Pro, though details around its positioning and pricing are still unclear.
The OnePlus Turbo series could be launching in India as early as next month.
