OnePlus TV gets listed on Amazon India; Key specs revealed

OnePlus is expanding its product portfolio with the TV segment, which will supposedly launch on September 26, 2019. It will launch alongside the alleged OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The latest Amazon India listing corroborates many of the expected specs and more.

We already knew that it would be a 55-inch QLED display TV. However, if we go by the rumors, we could look forth to three more sizes viz. 43-inches, 65-inches, and 75-inches. Anyhoo, Dolby Vision will be there to augment the visual experience.

The QLED display is also an impressive aspect of this display as it is capable of enriched color reproduction and better viewing angles.

All that said, the TV is not just its display. As such, the next reveal elates the excitement. OnePlus advert touts an audio experience propelled by 8 speakers with 50W output. Then there is the surround sound support from Dolby Atmos as well.

Lately, we had some more details through the web of leaks. The TV is apparently codenamed “Dosa”. Quirky, right?

It will reportedly ship with a MediaTek MT5670 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.5GHz and backed by ARM Mali G51 GPU. It will run on 2GB of RAM and Android TV with a custom “improved” UI.

The brand claims to have worked alongside Google for an optimized software experience, much like its phones. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau vows for at least 3 years of Android TV updates to its users.
