Read this story till the end to know everything we have come across OnePlus V Fold so far.

OnePlus V Fold: Expected Price

Image shared by OnePlus Community

Since OnePlus V Fold is the first foldable from OnePlus, it is difficult to guess what to expect in terms of price. There haven’t been any rumors about the price so far, but since OnePlus V Fold will be a smartphone as well as a foldable, it will most probably be on the expensive side. OnePlus V Fold will cost at least 1000 USD or it could be even more than this. However, if OnePlus goes competitive with pricing, it might be slashed to 900-950 USD.

OnePlus V Fold: Launch Timeline

There has been absolutely no information about the launch date of the OnePlus V Fold. Some renders in June claimed that the device is in the testing stage which means the brand might not have secured a final design till now. There might be loads of time before OnePlus V Fold actually sees the light of the day or if reports are to be believed it might launch in August 2023.

OnePlus itself mentioned that it is working on a foldable during the MWC 2023. The brand also announced that it will launch the foldable in 2nd half of 2023. This means OnePlus V Fold might launch before 2023 wraps up.

OnePlus V Fold: Design

We at Smartprix in association with OnLeaks have come across the exclusive first-look renders for OnePlus V Fold. The images show off a pretty standard foldable smartphone made by OnePlus that looks similar to Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Google Pixel Fold. Some minute differences can be seen though.

Firstly, the back of the OnePlus foldable is claimed to be made of leather giving it a unique look and feel. This would make the grip easier and the foldable won’t be as sleek as other foldables. The camera array is unique as there are 3 rear cameras arranged in a circle that looks similar to OnePlus 11 smartphone. The LED flash is positioned in the top-left corner of the foldable.

OnePlus also seems to be keeping the signature alert slider that can be seen on the right side of the display when folded. The hinge is not very clearly visible but there doesn’t seem to be much gap between the displays when folded. OnePlus might bring a Flexion hinge to fold cleanly.

The renders are based on a prototype unit in the testing stage so the actual design might be different than what is visible in these images. However, there is a slight chance that the design might be similar to what we see in these renders.

OnePlus V Fold: Expected specs

One of the most important things about any smartphone is its processor. Since OnePlus 11 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Soc, OnePlus V Fold might also feature the same chipset. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is one of the best chipsets in the market and most of the flagships feature this processor. Some reports claim that OnePlus V Fold might be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset.

Coming to display, OnePlus V Fold is speculated to sport a 7.8-inch Foldable 2K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. There will also be a 6.3-inch AMOLED display on the outside with a 120Hz refresh rate as well. V Fold is also expected to have a triple speaker setup for stereo audio. Currently, the OnePlus 11 supports 80W and 100W charging speeds, so OnePlus V Fold is also expected to feature 67W speed. If this happens, then it will be the absolute best foldable on the market when it comes to battery. Speculations are rife that OnePlus V Fold might pack a 4805mAh battery under the hood.

OnePlus V Fold: Expected camera specs

In addition to the rest of the solid specs, OnePlus V Fold is expected to have a 48MP main camera that uses a Sony IMX890 sensor for high-quality images. There will be a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP telephoto lens as well. Although the zoom range is not clear yet, it is safe to assume that it will have an impressive zoom with its periscope capabilities.

The details about the other two lenses are not clear yet, it looks like there will be two selfie cameras- one in the center at the top of the display when folded and one in the top-left corner of the inner screen. Selfie lenses are expected to be 32MP and 20MP.
