Oppo K1 with UD Fingerprint Scanner and 25MP Selfie Camera Teased On Flipkart

Last October 2018, Oppo introduced its K-series in China and the first phone was called K1. The biggest highlight of the phone was its in-display fingerprint sensor. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker is all set to bring the K1 to India. As per the teaser on Flipkart, the Oppo K1 will debut in India on February 6. Yes, the company has virtually confirmed the presence of in-display sensor in Indian variant of the Oppo K1.

Oppo K1 Features

Apart from the in-display fingerprint sensor, the Oppo K1 will include a 6.4-inch display with 1080 x 2340 resolution. There is a waterdrop notch atop the screen which houses a huge 25MP selfie snapper. In the rear camera department, Oppo packs a 16 MP + 2 MP Dual setup. The rear camera panel is integrated on a 3D glass back.

When you unlock the display, you’re welcomed by Android, v8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2. Under the hood, the processing would be handled by a 2.2 GHz, Octa Core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor. The graphics rendering would be helmed by Qualcomm Adreno 512.

Oppo K1 would be landing India in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM options. As far as storage is concerned, the phone comes with 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable via up to 256GB. A 3,600mAh battery would keep the lights on. The dual SIM phones are available in its homeland in two color options, viz Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue.

We expect Oppo to launch this phone in the sub-Rs. 20,000 price tier. Since the company is yet to unveil its pricing, we have to reckon at the Chinese price. The 4GB variant is priced at CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,900) while the higher 6GB one at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 19,000).
