Oppo is back with its Reno Series for 2024. After launching the Oppo Reno Series 5G in the home country of China last month, the smartphone maker has now confirmed the global launch date for Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G smartphones. The successor to Oppo Reno 11 Series will hit the global markets on June 18th. The event will be held in Ibiza, Spain, and will be livestreamed via YouTube and other media channels at 5 PM CET (8:30 PM IST).
Oppo Reno 12 Series will come in Malaysia, Europe, and some other countries including Asian countries. This time the highlight will be AI features that will be rolled out to the Reno 12 Series. Here’s everything we know so far about the Oppo Reno 12 Series 5G.

Oppo Reno 12 5G: Expected specs
The Chinese version of the Oppo Reno 12 5G smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED curved panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits brightness. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
It is Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.1 out of the box.
In terms of camera optics, the Oppo Reno 12 5G features a triple lens setup at the back including a 50MP Sony LYT 600 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera at the back. At the front is a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include USB Type-C, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and more.
The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging capability. Oppo Reno 12 5G is IP65-rated and weighs 178 grams. It has a thickness of 7.4mm.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G: Expected Specs
The China version of Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G is also powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with Mali G615 MC2 GPU, 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The smartphone runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.1 out of the box and weighs 180 grams. In terms of the camera, there is a triple-lens setup at the back including a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro sensor. At the front is a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging speed. Connectivity options include USB Type-C, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and more.
Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G has a thickness of 7.57mm and it is IP65 rated for dust and splash resistance.
Oppo Reno 12 Series 5G will come with various AI features like AI portrait and AI LinkBoost.
Considering the specs of Chinese versions, global versions will have almost similar specs.

Oppo Reno 12 Series 5G: Expected Price
The Oppo Reno 12 5G has a starting price of CNY 2699 (Rs. 31,000 approximately) in China while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G has a starting price of CNY 3399 (Rs. 39,000 approximately). Global variants are expected to cost along similar lines.
