Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G to launch with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max SoC in India

Oppo is gearing up to launch its flagship Oppo Reno 7 Series in India on 4th February. The series will have 2 models- Oppo Reno 7 and Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G. The specs of the devices have started pouring in and now the latest news is that Oppo has partnered with MediaTek to customize and upgrade its Dimensity 1200 chipset to a MAX variant. Oppo claims it is one of the fastest 5G CPUs available in the market at the moment.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G Chipset

The new CPU comprises a 5nm Arm Cortex-A78 chipset running at 3GHz speeds and achieves up to 5100Mbps peak downlink and 700Mbps uplink speeds for strong cellular connectivity. Oppo has included AI Deblur tech too which is an algorithm to sharpen faces in portraits affected by hand-held shaking.

The company says that HDR videos will also see an enhancement in color and contrast settings on the upcoming phone. This new feature uses artificial intelligence to differentiate between subjects on screen and uses different colors and sharpness settings for optimum results.

The Reno 7 5G will have an X-axis linear motor that delivers different levels of vibration feedback, which is ideal for gaming. The touch sampling rate goes up to 1000Hz. It is equipped with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage and RAM expansion allows you to have an additional 3GB, 5GB, or 7GB from the storage capacity.

The smartphone runs Oppo’s new Color OS 12 skin and features Omoji-a face capture algorithm that allows users to express emotions using animated avatars. The device also incorporates a 65W Super Vooc fast-charging feature that claims to fully charge in 31 minutes.
