Poco F3 GT India launch confirmed; Here’s what to expect

Poco F3 GT India launch has been confirmed by the brand for Q3, 2021. The young brand in recent times targeted the budget gamers and it will also be the case for Poco F3 GT. Interestingly, the Poco F3 GT will be succeeding the Poco one of the most successful phone ever – Poco F1 (review).

The Poco F3 GT announcement was shared via a teaser post on Twitter. it reveals presence of MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset under the hood and Q3, 2021 launch which means it is likely to be by July 2021.

“Locked & loaded, finger on the trigger The next F is closer than you thought. Good things come to those who wait, best things to those who never give up!” the tweet read, suggesting presence of triggers for gaming.

Poco F3 GT specifications and features

The Poco F3 GT is rumored to a rebranded version of Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in China back in April 2021. If that’s true, the Poco F3 GT will feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display on top. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

As confirmed by the brand, the affordable gaming phone will be driven by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Interestingly, upcoming Realme X7 Max also features the same chipset as the Poco F3 GT. We expect Poco F3 GT to include 6GB of RAM with at least 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

For photos and videos, the Poco F3 GT is likely to feature a triple rear camera setup boasting off a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It will also feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.

The connectivity options on the phone include a USB Type-C port and WiFi-6. The phone should feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

What is Poco F3 GT expected price in India?

Since is its expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, we can get a basic idea about its price segment. We expect the Poco F3 GT to be priced in India at around Rs 20,000. Of course, any change in customs duty and taxation by the Government will have an impact on the official pricing which we will get to know not before the official launch.
