The Poco X5 Series is coming earlier next year. Although the dates are yet to be known, this is what Himanshu Tandon, Poco India Head, had to say about the Poco X5 Series on Twitter. Tipster Yogesh Brar posted a list of devices that will be making their way to the public earlier next year. He missed listing for Poco X5 Series to which Tandon responded about the same hinting at the imminent launch.

Poco X5 Series To Launch Early Next Year

Brar posted a list of devices that will be released in the coming days but forgot to mention the Poco X5 Series. Tandon was quick to respond stating that Poco X5 Series will make it to India during the first quarter of next year as well although divulged from sharing any information about the device.

Comprising two models aka Poco X5 5G and Poco X5 Pro 5G, the device made it to BIS and FCC listings with model number 22101320I. Soon, we got the device with model number 22101320C listed on China’s 3C certification as well hinting at an imminent launch.

Successor to the Poco X4 Series that arrived in India in March of this year, the Poco X5 Series belongs to the midrange segment of smartphones.

Poco X5 Series Expected Specifications

Poco X5 Series

According to FCC listings, the Poco X5 Pro is likely to sport a 4,900 mAh battery, probably marketed as a 5,000 mAh battery pack. There’s 67W fast charging, Android 13-powered MIUI 14 out-of-the-box among others.

The reports further hint towards the inclusion of Snapdragon 765G+ whereas the vanilla version of the series is likely to gain Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The Poco X5 5G is likely a rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G as both share similar model numbers. However, it remains to be seen if it materializes or not. As the series is inching closer to its debut in India, we will get to know more about the devices in coming days.

Other smartphones that will shortly make it to India are Infinix Zero Ultra (December); iQOO 11 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Vivo X90/X90 Pro (January) followed by iQOO Neo7, Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, OnePlus 11, Motorola Edge 40 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra in February.
