Smartphone manufacturer Poco has launched a new series of phones in the global market today. As a part of the launch, Poco has launched Poco M5 and the Poco M5s globally. As the name suggests, the Poco M5 Series is the successor to the previously launched Poco M4 Series, which is one of the most popular budget options in India as well.

Poco M5 Series: Price & Availability

The Poco M5 will be available globally in 3 storage variants-

  • 4GB RAM+64GB storage- 189 euros (169 euros early bird price)
  • 4GB RAM+128GB storage- 209 euros (189 euros early bird price)
  • 6GB RAM+128GB storage- 229 euros (209 euros early bird price)

It comes in 3 colorways-Black, Yellow, and Green.

The Poco M5s will be available globally in 3 storage variants-

  • 6GB RAM+128GB storage- 249 euros (229 euros early bird price)

It comes in 3 colors-Grey, White and Blue.

The global sale begins on September 6.

Poco M5 Specs

For now, the Poco M5 will be a 4G smartphone, though its 5G variant might be launched later. It comes with a triple camera setup on the back which is housed inside a large black color module. There is a 50MP main camera along with a 2MP depth and 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP selfie lens at the front.

It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. It supports Turbo RAM that uses idle ROM to increase RAM capacity. The device has Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and a new Game Turbo 5.0 mode to boost your gaming experience.

The Poco M5 sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also comes with L1 Widevine certification for watching videos on the OTT platforms in the highest resolution. The Poco M5 packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The smartphone has a leather-like texture that will catch fewer fingerprints and also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Poco M5 also has Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and IR Blaster for connectivity.

Poco M5s Specs

The Poco M5s is called the fun magician and is meant for entertainment. The smartphone had a camera setup as one of its’ main highlights. The rear end features a quad camera setup including a 64MP main lens, 118-degree ultrawide lens, macro lens, and a depth camera. There is a 13MP selfie lens as well.

The smartphone allows you to record 4K videos in 1080p resolution. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset along with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. It packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 33W fast charging capability.

The Poco M5s sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with 409ppi, Diamond pixel, DCI-P3 color gamut, along with 1100 nits peak brightness, Reading mode 3.0, and DC Dimming. The smartphone comes with dual speakers and weighs just 178.8 grams, being the lightest in the segment. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has a curved frame with an arc fingerprint sensor. The Poco M5s has a Z-axis linear motor and is rated IP53 as well.
