POCO M8x 5G Launched in India With Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 for ₹20,999

POCO has launched the M8x 5G in India, introducing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 to the Indian smartphone market for the first time. The phone starts at ₹18,999 and comes with a 7,900 mAh battery, 120Hz display, and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

POCO M8x 5G Specifications

The POCO M8x 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 825 nits HBM brightness, Wet Touch 2.0, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/2.8-inch sensor, while the front gets an 8MP camera.

It packs a 7,900 mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is promised four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.

Other specifications include an IP64 rating, IR blaster, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone measures 8.8mm thick and weighs 232g.

The M8x 5G comes in Blue, Black, and Leather Green colour options.

Price and Availability

The POCO M8x 5G is priced at ₹20,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, while the 6GB + 128GB variant costs ₹22,999. A limited-period ₹2,000 coupon brings the effective prices down to ₹18,999 and ₹20,999, respectively.

The phone will go on sale from August 27 at 12 PM exclusively through Flipkart.
