TL; DR
- realme 14 Pro launching soon in India; teased with “two-generation ahead” periscope zoom.
- Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset confirmed, larger battery expected; display likely similar to realme 13 Pro+.
- The devices will likely launch in January, as reported earlier by us.
With Xiaomi today launching the Redmi Note 14 series, realme is set to counter with the realme 14 Pro series, which they have teased today. The company has released a teaser with the tag “Coming Soon,” indicating that the launch is near.
“Two-Generation Ahead” Periscope Zoom
realme claims its new periscope zoom in the realme 14 Pro series is “two generations ahead.” However, from what I am able to tell, it’s the same W-style periscope used in the realme 13 Pro+, which had a significant flaw: a high minimum focusing distance. It’s questionable whether this is an actual upgrade or just word play. realme 14 Pro series will also come with AI Ultra Clarity 2.0.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Larger Battery
From the teaser, it’s confirmed that the series will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, also seen in the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. Now, whether the realme 14 Pro will also feature the same chipset or not is something still under the wraps. Alongside this, leaks suggest a larger battery, aligning with the industry trend. The display is expected to be the same as last year.

Ultra-wide Camera Missing?
In the teaser shared by realme, we can see only two cameras at the back—main and periscope. This could mean two things—realme is either doing away with the ultra-wide lens altogether or the lens is hidden behind the periscope cross-section.
Launch Timeline
The launch could happen in December or January, with India being a key market. realme’s tagline is quite interesting—”same name, same chip, but two generations ahead with an advanced periscope.” Nonetheless, the realme 14 Pro series has big shoes to fill.
