OPPO’s spin-off Realme has been rapidly gaining market share and the company is looking to further accelerate its growth with new smartphone launches ahead of the upcoming festive season. Realme is set to announce two new budget smartphones in India early next week i.e on August 20. The two upcoming phones are said to be Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro and a few key specs of these upcoming phones have surfaced online.

While we have already covered Realme 5 in a separate post, in this article we will be discussing some of the Realme 5 Pro specs and features that Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth tweeted yesterday.

Here’s everything that we know about the Realme 5 Pro so far:

Realme 5 Pro Specs and Features

The Realme 5 Pro’S biggest attraction is going to be its Quad Camera setup at the rear. In fact, there will be quad cameras on every Realme phone to launch in India in the remaining half of 2019. A couple of days back, Madhav hinted in a tweet that upcoming Realme 5 Pro rear camera will feature a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, a 119-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor. Although, it’s not confirmed the Realme 5 Pro is likely to feature a 2-megapixel depth sensor, an 8MP sensor for the wide-angle camera, and a 13MP sensor for the telephoto lens. The Realme 5 Pro is likely to depend on a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.

Apart from a quad-camera setup, the Realme 5 Pro display is said to be a 6.5-inch panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Presence of in-display biometrics should mean an AMOLED screen. Rumor has it that the Realme 5 Pro will be driven by Snapdragon 712 SoC along with Adreno 616 GPU.

If it turns out to be true, the 5 Pro will be a performance upgrade over the Realme 3 Pro and Realme X, both of which were powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 chipset. It is worth mentioning that the Sanddragon 712 is a higher-clocked version of the Snapdragon 710.
