The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme is gearing up to launch two new mid-range smartphones in its native market and, eventually, in the international markets. We’re talking about the Realme GT Neo 6 series, consisting of the regular GT Neo 6 and a GT Neo 6 SE. Both phones will debut soon in China. As we come closer to the launch, more details about the phones are surfacing on the internet. Most recently, the company has confirmed the chipset on one of these smartphones.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE To Feature “Little 8Gen3”

On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Realme confirmed that the upcoming GT Neo 6 SE will feature the Snapdragopn 7+ Gen 3 SoC. A few days ago, this particular chipset appeared on a Geekbench listing, revealing similar single-core and multi-core scores as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The listing, however, belonged to the upcoming OnePus Ace 3V or the OnePlus Nord 4 (for global markets). The company’s post confirms that Realme GT Neo 6 SE will be a powerful smartphone.

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 To Debut On March 18

In the translated post, Realme calls the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 the “little 8Gen3,” as the upcoming chipset is built on the same architecture as the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. For those catching up, the chipset will debut alongside the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 on March 18, 2024, when Qualcomm has officially confirmed a launch event. We’ve covered more details about the launch event and the expected processors in a separate article

Both smartphones should have a 1.5K LTPO OLED screen that supports smoother refresh rates. At least one of the handsets should pack a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging.
