The official launch for the Realme GT 8 Pro is still days away (i.e., November 20), but the phone is already in our hands. This upcoming flagship is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious camera phones from realme yet, packing serious hardware and equally promising processing upgrades. We’ve been testing its new 200MP telephoto camera and can share the first exclusive, hands-on camera samples.

While we are saving our full analysis for the review, here is your first look at what the 200MP sensor can do.

Camera Setup and Highlights

The realme GT 8 Pro brings a triple camera setup, including the 50 MP Sony IMX906 main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 200 MP telephoto lens, which, yes, is the same size as the main sensor on most flagships, including the realme GT 8 Pro itself.

What makes this setup stand out is the telephoto lens itself. With a large 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/2.6 aperture, and 25 cm minimum focusing distance, it’s capable of pulling in a lot of light while maintaining strong depth and background blur.

Portraits with 6X Mode

The GT 8 Pro introduces a 6X mode within the portrait section, which is impressive. You can take 6X portraits directly from the telephoto lens, giving you flexibility and depth you don’t usually see at this price range.

Early Samples

We’ve captured a few shots using the realme GT 8 Pro at different zoom levels, including 1X, 3X, and 6X, and the results speak for themselves. You can take a look at them below.

Until then, take a look at these early shots and let us know your thoughts on the camera samples and design in the comments below.
