The budget smartphone market in India is usually a game of compromises: you typically trade battery life for a slim design, or performance for a better screen. With the launch of the Realme P4x 5G today, Realme is trying to bridge that gap by fitting an unusually large 7,000mAh battery into a chassis that remains surprisingly thin.

Starting at ₹15,499, the P4x 5G is the latest addition to Realme’s performance-focused P-series. While the 7,000mAh cell is the headline feature, promising significantly longer runtimes than the standard 5,000mAh, the device manages to stay 8.39mm thick.

Realme P4x 5G Specs

To accommodate the larger battery and keep the price down, Realme has opted for an LCD panel rather than the AMOLED screens found on competitors like the Redmi Note series. However, the company attempts to balance this by pushing the refresh rate to 144Hz, a spec typically reserved for dedicated gaming phones.

Under the hood, the device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset (6nm). It is paired with a vapor chamber cooling system (marketed as “Frozen Crown”), which should help sustain performance during the long gaming sessions that the large battery enables.

Key Specifications:

  • Display: 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD, 144Hz, 1,000 nits peak brightness.
  • Battery: 7,000mAh with 45W fast charging. It also supports “bypass charging,” allowing the phone to run on direct power while gaming to reduce heat.
  • Cameras: A simple dual setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera.
  • Durability: IP64 dust and water resistance.

Realme P4x 5G Pricing and Availability

The Realme P4x 5G will be available in India starting December 10 at 12 PM IST via Flipkart and Realme’s official store.

Realme has set the base price at ₹15,499 for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model, though launch incentives will temporarily bring the effective price down to ₹13,499. Two higher-tier configurations (8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB) will sell for ₹16,999 and ₹17,999, respectively.
