Chinese smartphone maker Realme will attend the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 starting on February 28 where it will launch the Realme GT2 Pro flagship device. Turns out Realme will release something else as well. Turns out it is not just the phone but Realme will introduce a new charging technology that it is touting as “World’s Fastest Smartphone Charging technology”.

How fast you might ask? Well, that remains a mystery as Realme hasn’t declared or posted any figure associated with its charging tech. Realme has promises denoting 70% of its R&D resources of charging technology and innovations. Perhaps the upcoming charging technology will be fast but it will take us a week to get a concrete answer on just how fast it will be.

Realme will reportedly use Oppo’s 160W fast charging tech but as a 150W fast charging tech which is 10W lower. There’s a 200W fast charging tech that Xiaomi unveiled too which begs the question of why Realme is calling its tech the world’s fastest. There are reports that claim Realme will be introducing a charger with a 200W output.

It could be faster in terms of charging the battery in less time since the charger is absolutely slower than Oppo’s 160W charging tech as it is 150W. Perhaps, Realme will be using the same charger from its sister company Oppo.

Nubia has a 165W fast-charging tech in the works too while the Red Magic 7 series arrived with 135W tech onboard. This means we have a lot of options in terms of fast charging technologies but the question is, what tech will be available commercially.

Watch out for the MWC 2022 on February 28 where Realme will announce Realme GT 2 Pro and its world’s fastest charging tech as well.
