Realme has been quite candid about XT, the successor to the Realme X (review) that’s hardly been a month on retail shelves. The company first showcased this 64MP quad-camera phone wrapped tight in a case and later announced the name “Realme XT” from the 5-series launch stage.

At a briefing in China on August 27, Realme officially revealed everything there is to know about the upcoming Realme XT, confirming most details including chipset used, camera specs, display, and battery.

Realme XT Features

The Realme XT has more in common with the Realme 5 Pro (review) than it does with Realme X. Just like the 5 Pro, the XT has a waterdrop notch, a quad-camera setup, and is powered by Snapdragon 712 chipset (Nope, still no SD 730).

The quad-camera system here is led by the latest 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor, unlike the Sony IMX586 on the 5 Pro.

The Realme XT has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint reader. The display isn’t continuous as it was on Realme X, and the 16MP selfie camera resides within the notch.

This time realme is using real glass for the back with some fine gradients. Other features include up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

Considering what the 8GB variant of Realme X costs in India, the Realme XT will be up against Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 in India.
