Redmi India’s official X handle has confirmed the launch of the all-new Redmi Note 15 Special Edition or the Note 15 SE in India. It will join the rest of the Note 15 lineup, which already includes the Redmi Note 15 5G, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ (review).

Redmi Note 15 SE’s Launch Set For April First Week
The smartphone is “built to deliver a faster, bolder, and simply better experience across everything you do,” writes the brand in its X post. The Note 15 SE will break cover on April 2, 2026. It will be a Flipkart exclusive smartphone, meaning it will be available only on the e-commerce platform.
The information about the Note 15 SE is scarce, but we could still speculate based on what we know about the Redmi Note 14 SE. The smartphone came out in July 2025, with virtually the same specifications as the Redmi Note 14. The difference? It came at a more affordable price, was available in an exclusive color, and didn’t include a charger in the box.

What To Expect In Terms Of Specs And Pricing?
Hence, it would be safe to speculate that the Redmi Note 15 SE could be based on the regular Redmi Note 15. For those catching up, the handset comes with a 6.77-inch 120Hz screen, runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, features a 108MP primary camera, and a 5,520 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging.
Given that the Redmi Note 15 5G costs Rs. 22,998 in India for the 8GB RAM, 128GB storage variant, the Redmi Note 15 SE should be priced below that. We could be looking at an introductory price of around Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 18,000. However, please keep in mind that this remains a conjecture at the moment.

Regarding specifications, the Note 15 SE could be a toned-down version of the regular Note 15. So, expect to see a similar screen, processor, perhaps a lower resolution camera, and a similar battery. And, of course, the SE won’t ship with a charger in the box, as that’s how Redmi will be able to cut down its price.
