Mukesh Ambani Led Reliance Industries Ltd. Has announced its 46th Annual General Meeting that will be held later this month. The AGM is not only expected to share details on the listing of recently demerged Jio Financial Services (JFS) but also announce some new products and services. The Reliance AGM 2023 will be held on the 28th of August at 2 PM IST. The company announced the same through the announcement given below.
“This is to inform you that the Forty-sixth Annual General Meeting (Post-IPO) (AGM) of the Members of the Company will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM IST through Video Conferencing/Other Audio-Visual Means”, said RIL in a stock exchange filing.

Jio Phone 5G
In 2020, Mukesh Ambani confirmed that Reliance is partnering with Google to make a 5G phone that will be accessible to all in the country. Ever since then, there hasn’t been much on that front but now seems like things will finally materialize. The Jio Phone 5G was seen on Geekbench in December 2022 and some of its hands-on images were also leaked in June 2023 suggesting that the launch is closer than expected. Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that Reliance might launch Jio Phone 5G during AGM 2023.
Though Reliance has not hinted anything about their 5G phone as of now, reports claim that the Jio Phone 5G will sport a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with 1600×720 pixel resolution. It might be powered by Snapdragon 480 chipset with 4G RAM and 32GB storage.
The smartphone might have a dual camera setup at the back (13MP+2MP) and an 8MP lens at the front. The phone is expected to pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 18W fast charging and support 5G bands like n3, n5, n28, n40, and n78. The Jio Phone 5G is also expected to have a microSD card slot and dual SIM support.
Jio Phone 5G is likely to cost under Rs. 10,000 making it one of the cheapest 5G phones in the Indian market. The phone might start retailing around Diwali 2023.
Jio 5G Plans
Jio 5G services have rolled out to many big and small cities in India and the complete rollout is expected to happen by 2024. However, Reliance Jio is yet to announce its 5G plans and that might happen during the AGM 2023. According to speculations, Jio 5G plans are expected to cost similar to 4G plans, but with more usable data and other benefits.
Jio Air Fiber
Reliance announced Jio Fiber 5G hotspot at AGM 2022 but the product is yet to retail in the market. This year’s AGM might see the announcement regarding the price and availability of Jio Air Fiber in India. To recall, Jio Air Fiber is an ultra-high speed 5G hotspot device to deliver wireless fiber like 5G speeds at home or office.
