Reliance Jio Announces AI-Cloud Welcome Offer: Will Provide 100GB Free Cloud Storage To Users

At the 47th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, the chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer. Known for its revolutionary introductory offers, Jio has announced that it will offer users up to 100GB of free cloud storage.

For the uninitiated, Jio AI-Cloud is a service designed to provide affordable yet secure storage solutions to Indian users. Like any other cloud storage service (such as Google One), users can store their digital memories, like photos, videos, or other digital files, in Jio AI-Cloud.

Jio-Cloud Welcome Offer To Be Launched Around Diwali 2024

While the company has announced 100GB of free storage for Jio users, those who require additional storage will be able to get it at a competitive pricing. Jio hasn’t announced the pricing yet, but one of the most popular cloud storage providers, Google, prices its 100GB cloud storage plan at Rs. 130 per month and the 2TB plan at Rs. 650 per month.

At the event, Mukesh Ambani said that Jio AI-Cloud will bring “a powerful and affordable solution where cloud data storage and data-powered AI services are available to everyone everywhere.” The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer will be available around Diwali 2024. The AI-Cloud is a part of the comprehensive suite of tools and platforms called Jio Brain.

Other Products Announced At The 47th Annual General Meeting

Jio has also announced a couple of other products, including JioTvOS, an indigenous operating system designed for Jio’s set-top boxes to provide a faster, smoother, and personalized experience. Then there are Jio Home IoT solutions, which comply with the latest technological standards, like Matter, for a seamless integration of smart home devices.

At the event, the company also announced JioTV+, which provides live TV, on-demand shows, and other apps integrated into one platform. Jio also announced Phonecall AI, a new service that infuses machine learning into phone calls. Once the service rolls out, users can record, transcribe, and summarize phone calls through Jio Cloud.
