One of the most popular video-sharing platforms in the world, YouTube, has launched its video editing app, YouTube Create, in India. The beta version of this app was announced in September 2023, when the company mentioned that it is developing it with creators in India and Singapore. YouTube Create helps creators edit their long-form and short-form content with the help of several features.

YouTube Create For Creators Who Shoot With Their Smartphones

YouTube Create app launched in India

YouTube Create provides a user with an easy-to-use interface and intuitive features to make video creation simpler and lighter. Although the app is still in the beta testing phase, Google has extended its availability to 13 countries, including India. Going forward, Android users should be able to download the app from the Google Play Store. Moreover, the app allows creators or regular users to edit their videos on their smartphones, especially since budding creators rely on shooting and storing the videos on their smartphones.

How To Edit A Video On YouTube Create?

The first step toward editing a video on YouTube Create is importing the footage into the app. Second, users can browse through the app’s audio library to choose a song that complements the mood and visuals in the video. It is important to mention that the music available within the app is royalty-free, so creators don’t have to worry about getting copyright claims. Interestingly, YouTube Create also has a beat-matching feature that synchronizes the video transitions with the audio.

Next, users can add effects and filters to their videos, choosing from the available stickers, GIFs, and other effects that add a fun and appealing element to the video. While these features are often available in other free video editing apps, YouTube Create offers an Audio Cleanup feature that allows users to eliminate background noise from their videos, which could benefit creators who shoot videos in public spaces. Last but not least, users can add additional layers, such as those for voiceovers and captions. Finally, users can upload the video to their YouTube channel once they are okay with all the edits.

Moreover, YouTube Create brings several video editing features available in different apps in one app, making it easier for users to edit and export videos directly to YouTube.
