Samsung Galaxy A02s and A12 with 6.5″ display, 5000mAh battery go official

Samsung has released two new entry grade phones from its A-series, namely Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A12. The A02s comes with a Snapdragon 450 chipset, whilst the A12 bears an unnamed octa-core processor. Rest, both handsets sport a 5000mAh battery and a 6.5-inch screen upfront.

Samsung Galaxy A02s Highlights

Galaxy A02s has got a 6.5in panel with HD+ resolution and an infinity-V cutout. Inside the indent, there’s a 5MP snapper. By the back, there are three cameras viz. a 13MP primary shooter, a 2MP macro module, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Under the hood, the phone carries a Snapdragon 450 silicon coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM (expandable up to 1TB), and a 5000mAh battery that supports a 15W charger.

Other things in the mix are a micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and Android 10 software. A fingerprint reader is nowhere to be seen on the device.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Highlights

The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, within which lies an 8MP selfie camera. As for the rear, there is a quad stack comprising of a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro clicker, and a 2MP depth unit.

You get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Unlocking the device, you’ll be interacting with Android 10 software laid on top of an octa-core processor. Internals also includes a 5,000mAh battery, up to 6GB RAM, and 128GB onboard storage.

Samsung Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A12 Price and Availability

Samsung has launched the 64GB model of Galaxy A12 in Europe at 179 Euros (~Rs. 15,768), while the larger 128GB variant will cost 199 Euros (~Rs. 17530).

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A02s is priced at 150 Euros (~Rs. 13213).

The company is yet to spill beans on Indian availability details. So, stay tuned for that.
