Continuing the streak of silent releases, the Korean tech giant Samsung has revealed the Galaxy A16 6G in Europe. The mid-range smartphone will take after one of the most popular 5G smartphones, the Galaxy A15 5G, offering plenty of features at an affordable price. Since the smartphone is highly likely to launch in India, here’s a look at the specifications and price of the international variant.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G ships with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. While the screen has symmetrical bezels on three sides, it has a relatively thicker chin at the bottom and a water-drop notch at the top.
Under the hood, the new Galaxy A series smartphone runs on the Exynos 1330 SoC (5nm), an octa-core processor with two cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six cores clocked at 2GHz. Alongside the chipset, the phone features 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Regarding optics, the phone has a triple-rear camera setup, giving users more options while clicking pictures. The primary camera on the handset is a 50MP main sensor, while the secondary camera is a 5MP ultra-wide sensor. Then, there’s a 2MP macro sensor, allowing users to click pictures of tiny subjects. To click selfies or attend video calls, users get a 13MP selfie shooter.

Powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a USB Type-C port, 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, and GPS. To protect the handset against unauthorized access, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Samsung’s custom user interface, One UI 6.0, which is based on Android 14. The company is also increasing the duration of operating system and security updates to six years on the A series phone. Simply put, the Galaxy A16 5G will receive updates still on October 31, 2030.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Price And Availability
The latest mid-range smartphone is available in Europe for EUR 249, which is about Rs. 23,000, for the model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Further, the smartphone is available in three colors: Midnight Blue, Turquoise, and White.

Given that Samsung launched the Galaxy A15 5G in India in December 2023, there’s a good chance that the Galaxy A16 5G could also debut at the same time. Regarding price, the phone could cost between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 in India.
