Samsung has announced the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56 in India, bringing modest spec bumps to its mid-range A-series lineup. The Galaxy A36 and A56 prioritize refinement over reinvention, leaning on improved chipsets, longer software support, and some AI features. Let’s take a closer look at the price and specifications of the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56.

Samsung Galaxy A36 Price and Specifications

The Galaxy A36 hits shelves in three variants: 

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹32,999  
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹35,999  
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹38,999

It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1200 Nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ front and back. Under the hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, running Android 15 with One UI 7 and a hefty six-year OS update commitment. 

The camera setup includes a 50 MP OIS main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5.MP macro lens, paired with a 12 MP front camera. Built with a plastic frame, it weighs 195 grams and measures 7.4mm thick.

Inside is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45W charging, though no adapter comes in the box. It’s IP67-rated and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Available colors are Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Lime.

Samsung Galaxy A56 Price and Specifications

Galaxy A56 5G

The Galaxy A56 also hits shelves in three variants:    

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹41,999  
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹44,999  
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹47,999

The Galaxy A56 mirrors the A36’s 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 Nits brightness, also guarded by Gorilla Glass Victus+. Powering it is Samsung’s new mid-range Exynos 1580 SoC, alongside Android 15 and One UI 7, with the same six-year update commitment. 

The rear cameras feature a 50 MP OIS primary lens, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5 MP macro lens, with a 12 MP front camera. It opts for a brushed aluminum frame, weighs 198 grams, and keeps the 7.4 mm thickness. 

Fresh new look

Inside is a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W charging (no adapter included) and an IP67 rating are included, plus an in-display fingerprint scanner, like the Galaxy A36. Color options are Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Olive and Awesome Pink.

Samsung Galaxy A26 Price and Specifications

The Galaxy A26 was also launched but pricing remains under the wraps, for now. Here are the storage variants:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage 
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage 
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage 

It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Exynos 1380 processor, with a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, powers it, running Android 15 and One UI 7. 

The rear setup includes a 50 MP OIS main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro, with a 13 MP front camera. At 200 grams and 7.7 mm thick, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm jack, and IP67 rating.
