Successor to last year’s Galaxy Book 3, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 laptops are expected to make their launch later this month, a month before the usual launch timeline. Tipsters suggest December 15 as the date when the Galaxy Book 4 series reportedly arrives with a purported top-of-the-line Ultra model with AI finesse. It will be marketed as the first-ever AI-powered laptop with on-device AI capabilities using Guass.

According to the reports, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is a top-of-the-line laptop expected to arrive with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H Meteor Lake processor. It is a 16-core chipset with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage onboard. There’s Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU flanked with 6GB of VRAM that will handle the graphics on the Ultra book. The laptop is likely to host a 16-inch OLED panel with 1600×2880 pixels resolution made by Samsung. It also has a refresh rate of 120Hz. These were some of the specs reported by tipster @Tech_Reve.

The South Korean giant will launch the Galaxy Book 4 series on December 15 in South Korea. Here, the top-of-the-line book has been branded as ‘Ultra’ and will be leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities using Samsung’s generative AI model Gauss which we’ll get to see on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series as well. The ‘Ultra’ branding is likely to match with the branding on its flagship lineup. Samsung Gauss is capable of processing textual, code, and image types of content.

There’s no mention of a 64GB variant for the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra yet so we aren’t yet sure. Similarly, we aren’t certain about the number of models to join the Book 4 series. For reference, the Galaxy Book 3 series had Galaxy Book 3 Pro, 360, 360 Pro, and Book 3 Ultra.

The South Korean giant is all set for its big flagship rollout earlier next year with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series – Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra.
