The Korean tech giant Samsung has revealed its most affordable 5G smartphone in India: the Galaxy F06 5G. While its primary selling point happens to be 5G connectivity (across all telecom operators), the handset comes with a decent set of specifications, like an HD+ screen, an octa-core processor, and a giant battery for extended usage. The Galaxy F06 5G comes with a vertically-positioned pill-shaped camera island on the back (which houses two sensors). While the power button (which doubles as the fingerprint scanner) and the volume rockers are on the right frame, the USB-C port and the primary microphone are at the bottom.

There’s a U-shaped notch at the front, with nearly symmetrical bezels on three sides and a thick bottom chin. Buyers have two color options to choose from: Bahama Blue and Lit Violet, both of which have an abstract pattern on the back.

To kick things off, the Galaxy F06 5G ships with a 6.7-inch HD+ screen that can achieve 800 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset (two 2.4GHz performance cores and six 2GHz efficient cores), along with 128GB of storage and up to 6GB of memory.

In the official press release, Samsung mentions that the phone can achieve 416K points on the AnTuTu 10 benchmark. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 12 5G bands from all operators. Further, the phone supports carrier aggregation for faster download and upload speeds.

Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 15 with One Ui 7.0 on top. Further, Samsung has promised to offer four years of operating system and security updates with the smartphone, making it a good bargain for the price. Some key features of the smartphone include Quick Share, Voice Focus, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Samsung Knox Vault for added security.

Regarding optics, the phone features a 50MP (f/1.8) high-resolution sensor that should capture detailed pictures (along with a 2MP depth sensor). On the front, users get an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging.

The Galaxy F06 5G comes in two variants. While the baseline variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 9,999, the one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 11,499. As an introductory offer, Samsung is providing a Rs. 500 bank cashback, which reduces the effective price of the smartphone.
