Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Specifications And Design Revealed Ahead Of Launch

Samsung is working on releasing an affordable new smartwatch called the Galaxy Fit 3. Previously, we’ve seen images of the retail boxes of the wearable, revealing the branding and the overall design. Now, a new report by The Tech Outlook seems to have disclosed the entire specifications and features of the device, courtesy of promotional materials obtained by the outlet.

The Galaxy Fit 3 is 46 percent wider and 10 percent slimmer than the Galaxy Fit 2. Further, it also features over 100 customizable watch faces. The connected straps feature a one-click removable design, which makes it easy for users to customize it. Last but not least, the smartwatch should come in three colors, including Gray, Silver, and Pink Gold.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 will come with a 1.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 256 x 402 pixels. Users get a side button on the right frame besides the rectangular touch screen. Housing the screen will be an aluminum frame. Further, the device weighs 36.8 grams and measures 42.9 x 28.8 x 9.9mm. 

Regarding memory and storage, the Galaxy Fit 3 will feature 16MB of RAM and 256MB of storage. Although we don’t know anything about the wearable’s chipset, it will feature several health monitoring systems. For instance, the device will be able to track users’ physical activity, such as walking, cycling, and a total of 101 workouts (with auto tracking for six). Further, it will track their heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress.

Apart from the features mentioned above, the smartwatch should also be able to track users’ sleep cycle. Powering the smartwatch is a 208 mAh battery that typically lasts up to 13 days on a single charge. However, users’ actual battery life could differ based on usage and charging patterns. 

Additional features include a quick response button for calls/messages, a remote camera shutter, a music playback controller, Fall Detection, and Emergency SOS. Users will also get an IP68 water and dust resistance, implying that the smartwatch should be suitable for swimming and other water-based workouts.
