After the grand global launch during the first Unpacked Event of 2022, Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is now up for pre-booking in India. At the event, the company announced that the orders could be placed immediately in select countries after which prices for these regions were announced too.

These include the US, UK, and Europe. Although nothing was said about India, the good news is that Indian customers can now pre-reserve the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.

Go to the Samsung India website where you will find an option to pre-book/pre-reserve any of the three new Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 smartphones. You will be amongst the first to get your hands on these devices if you pre-book them now.

If you pre-book your device now, Samsung will give you a Galaxy SmartTag worth Rs. 2699 for free and guarantee that you will get 100% money back if you cancel your order. But obviously, there is a catch here.

The consumer needs to pay Rs. 1999 to pre-reserve a Galaxy S22 series phone. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a different pre-reserve VIP Pass, while the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 will have their VIP Pass.

The pre-reservations are now open and will be available until Feb 21. This means the sale dates in India might be 22 February or a  day after. The amount of Rs. 1999 will be a part of the total cost of the smartphone you intend to buy. For example, if you want to buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra, you are paying Rs. 1999 in advance to Samsung to keep a unit reserved for you.

As and when it goes on sale, you can pay the rest of the portion of the cost and go ahead with the purchase of the device. The company will mail you the details about the pre-reservation VIP Pass redemption usage and coupon code that you can use to reduce the price by Rs. 1999.

If you want to cancel your plans to buy the S22 Series smartphone after making the pre-reservation, Samsung will refund your Rs. 1999 entirely. And if you neither cancel nor use it, then the company will cancel it on your behalf and refund the money.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Expected Price

Although the prices of the devices in the Galaxy S22 Series are not announced as of now, their US pricing is available. The Galaxy S22 starts from 799 dollars (Rs. 60,000) while the Galaxy S22+ costs 999 dollars (Rs. 75,000). Both these will come in 4 colors- Phantom white, Phantom black, green, and pink gold.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra begins at 1199 dollars (Rs. 90,000) and has 4 color options- Burgandy, Phantom Black, white and green.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is following the long-standing tradition of the company which is switching out the processor based on region.

This year things seem to be changing as buyers in North America, India, South Africa, and the UAE will get access to Samsung Galaxy S22 Qualcomm-based models. These will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 inside.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 Series phones shipping in UK and Europe will sport an Exynos 2200 chipset instead.
