TL; DR
  • The Galaxy S25 FE’s design has leaked via SammyGurus and OnLeaks, revealing an A55-like look instead of the flagship S25’s floating camera module.
  • The phone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, physical dimensions of 161.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, and could ship with either an Exynos 2400 or MediaTek Dimensity 9400.
  • Launch is expected later this year, following the July 9 Unpacked event where Samsung will unveil the Flip 7, Fold 7, Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch 8 Ultra.

It’s that time of the year when Samsung starts shaping up its FE lineup and the first look at the Galaxy S25 FE is already here. Shared by SammyGurus in collaboration with OnLeaks, the newly leaked renders give us a very clear picture of what to expect from the upcoming S25 FE. And surprisingly, it’s not following the flagship Galaxy S25’s design language.

Unlike the main Galaxy S25 lineup, which showcases Samsung’s new floating camera layout, the S25 FE goes for a more traditional and familiar style. The design looks heavily inspired by the Galaxy A55, with a flat back panel and vertically stacked camera lenses that feel more A-series than flagship. The frame appears slightly boxy with smooth edges, more industrial than premium, but unmistakably Samsung.

Galaxy S25 FE Specs

S25 FE

The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. While exact brightness levels aren’t confirmed, early whispers suggest a potential peak of 2600 nits. The physical dimensions stand at 161.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, making it marginally thicker than the Galaxy S25 (review) (7.2mm) but slimmer than last year’s S24 FE (8mm). The bezels also seem to be thinner than the S24 FE.

On the inside, the chipset situation is still uncertain. Some reports mention an Exynos 2400, while others hint at a MediaTek Dimensity 9400, with possible regional differences. As for cameras, the S25 FE is expected to upgrade its selfie shooter to a 12 MP sensor, matching its S25 siblings.

The device will come preloaded with One UI 8 and is set to receive Samsung’s full 7-year software update promise, matching the flagship experience in long-term support. This could mean that it will get more OS updates than the rest of the S25 lineup.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Release Date

As for the release date, Samsung has already confirmed its next big Unpacked event will take place on July 9, where the spotlight will be on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7, and the Galaxy Watch 8 series, including the Watch 8 Classic. The Galaxy S25 FE likely won’t be part of that event but is expected to arrive shortly after, possibly in late Q3 or early Q4.
