Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Geekbench listing

The benchmark results reveal that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has managed to score 3011 in the single-core test and 9706 in the multi-core test. These scores are less than OnePlus 13 which was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Geekbench results which were leaked recently by tipster Ice Universe. Although these aren’t final results, it does give an idea about how powerful the chipset is.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset for Galaxy uses 2 x Prime cores clocked at 4.47GHz compared to 4.32GHz in the standard 8 Gen 4 model while retaining 6 x performance cores clocked at 3.53GHz. It uses Qualcomm’s self-developed Nuvia CPU architecture for the first time.

The SoC is expected to feature an Adreno 830 GPU that is clocked at 1250MHz and uses TSMC’s 3nm process. The listing reveals a 12GB version only, but there might also be a 16GB variant. While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will launch in 2025, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first phones to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. These will be announced soon after Qualcomm hosts Snapdragon Summit 2024 on 21st October.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to measure 162.8×77.6×8.2mm and weigh 219 grams. Reports claim it will have a 200MP main sensor along with a 50MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto, and 50MP 5x telephoto sensor at the back. On the front will be a 12MP selfie camera and under the hood might be a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging. It will run Android 15 based on One UI 7 and feature new AI capabilities too.
