Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is getting a huge price cut of Rs. 60,000 on Flipkart, making it a lucrative deal for those eyeing a premium foldable device. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 was originally priced at Rs. 1,59,999 but is currently available for just Rs. 99,999 on Flipkart without any conditions. It is available in a 256GB storage model in Icy Blue and Phantom Black shades. Click here to view the deal.

Note- The deal is subject to availability depending upon your region. Enter pincode to find out if it is available in your area.

Moreover, those who exchange their old devices can get additional discounts depending on the model they are exchanging and its condition. No Cost EMI starts at Rs. 4987/month for those who can’t pay the entire amount at once. Now, the question remains with Samsung gearing up to launch Galaxy Z Fold 7 this year, is buying Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 worth it? Let’s talk about its features to answer this question.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Should you buy it?

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is a decent option for anyone looking for a flagship device offering a mini tablet-like productivity. With a massive discount of Rs. 60,000, it is an attractive deal for those who could not buy it after launch as it was expensive.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a strong hinge and a durable design with almost no creases on the inner display. The foldable is not bulky and apt for daily use with an IPX8 rating making it resistant to immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

At the front is a massive 7.6-inch AMOLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera is included under the inner display. The user just has to unfold the device to watch content on a huge screen. It can even be used in tent or laptop mode or you can switch to an outer 6.2-inch screen anytime during usage, making it a regular smartphone.

The software has been well optimized for multitasking so you can run up to three apps simultaneously on the inner display. Also, the Edge Panel allows you to access apps and drag them onto the screen, making multitasking seamless.

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which isn’t the latest but a capable chipset, Galaxy Z Fold 5 gives fast performance. If you are a creator, gamer, or someone who needs RAW power, you should opt for Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy S25 Ultra, but otherwise, Galaxy Z Fold 5 is not very far behind.

Under the hood, the foldable has a 4400mAh battery which has been well-optimized to offer a playback time of 8-9 hours. It supports 25W charging, but the charger isn’t bundled inside the box. Foldables mostly compromise on-camera performance, but Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with a 50MP main+12MP ultrawide+10MP telephoto sensor at the back. The triple lens setup offers a decent photography experience (review). There is a 4MP under-display camera on the inner screen which isn’t great but serves the purpose of video calls and selfies.

All-in-all, if your priority isn’t getting too much power and your budget is limited, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a discount of INR 60,000 is a smart deal.
