Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Edition: Expectations

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Edition, as the name suggests will have a sleeker design. It is expected to be 4.9mm thick when unfolded and 10.6mm thick when folded. It isn’t the thinnest foldable ever, yet it is a positive step in that direction. Samsung also plans to offer an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance which is missing from most Chinese foldables. In terms of design, this one will have a titanium frame similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The foldable is tipped to have a 6.5-inch cover display along with an 8-inch main foldable screen. The device is expected to pack a slightly larger battery and run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 pre-installed and also get seven promises Android OS updates.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which is the same as Galaxy Z Fold 6. The slim version might have better cameras too as some reports claim a 200MP primary sensor at the back. Other cameras might remain the same as on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Whether the slim version will come to India or not and how much it will be priced still remains a mystery. But since the launch is just 6 days away, we will get to know more about it very soon.
