Fresh photos of Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra dummy units have surfaced online, giving us our first real-world comparison of Samsung’s upcoming foldables. The images were shared on Korean forums and later highlighted by reliable tipster Ice Universe, showing both devices side by side.
Samsung is taking two very different approaches this year. Instead of offering a single Fold design, the company is splitting the lineup into a wider model aimed at everyday usability and a taller Ultra model that continues the traditional Fold formula.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Looks Much Wider

The standard Galaxy Z Fold8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, has a noticeably wider footprint than the Ultra. When folded, it looks shorter and more compact, with proportions that resemble a regular smartphone much more closely than previous Fold devices.
Leaks suggest the Fold8 could feature a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It is also expected to pack a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W wired and 25W wireless charging support. It also appears to have a dual camera setup.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Continues the Traditional Fold Formula

Next to it, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra looks much closer to today’s Galaxy Z Fold7. It retains the taller, narrower shape that Fold users are already familiar with and has three cameras on the back.
The Fold8 Ultra is expected to become the direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7. Current leaks point to a 200MP main camera alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP 3X telephoto lens. The device is also rumored to include a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging support.
