Samsung launches first-ever Galaxy Watch FE featuring advanced health capabilities

A few hours ago, we reported about how Samsung has confirmed the launch of Samsung Galaxy Watch for Unpacked Event in July. However, it looks like Samsung had some other trick up its sleeve as it announced its first-ever Samsung Galaxy Watch FE today itself. This new addition to the Samsung smartwatch lineup has been equipped with advanced health capabilities and holistic wellness for more users. The Fan Edition watch also has a stylish design and durable build. Samsung claims that it is ideal for those who are starting their journey to improve overall health.

Samsung claims that it is excited to add this new Galaxy Watch FE to its wearable portfolio, offering its consumers more access to personalized health insights that empower them to be motivated and stay healthy.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: Features

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available in 40mm size and the design is based on other Galaxy smartwatches. It comes in pink gold, black, and silver shades, and new watch bands to flaunt your style.

The watch also comes with added watch faces that can be customized along with the one-click band that makes switching bands easier. The Galaxy Watch FE has a sapphire crystal glass that makes it durable and offers an extra layer of protection against scratches.

Health features include Samsung’s advanced BioActive sensor, advanced sleep features, heart health monitoring features, and more. Watch FE is capable of HR Alert to detect abnormally high or low heart rates and irregular heart rhythm notification to monitor heart rhythms suggestive of Afib. ECG and Blood Pressure can also be monitored using sensors on the device.

There are over 100 workout modes along with progress trackers right from the wrist. Advanced running analysis and Personalized Heart Rate Zone are two capabilities that help in tracking workouts effectively.

Users will be able to achieve their health goals better and stay motivated as well. Body Composition offers comprehensive body and fitness data as indicators to track progress. Motivational messages will also be received throughout the wellness journey to stay motivated.

Like other Galaxy devices, Watch FE also comes with Find My Phone capability so you can look for your lost phone using the watch. A connected Samsung smartphone can be remotely connected using a camera controller on the watch. It also supports Samsung Wallet so users can pay using the watch and also access their student ID or driver’s license.

The watch weighs 26.6 grams and has a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with Full Color Always On Display. It is powered by Exynos W920 dual-core SoC and comes with 16GB storage and 1.5GB RAM. The Galaxy Watch FE packs a 247mAh battery and runs WearOS powered by Samsung. It will run One UI 5 and will be 5ATM+IP68 rated.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: Price & Availability

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available globally from 24th June. It is priced at 199 USD (Rs.16,6000 approx.). For India availability and pricing, stay tuned to this space.
