Samsung has launched its Mobile Cloud Gaming Platform (which has been in beta since last year). On the developer side, the platform drives massive efficiency and scale for user acquisition.

How Many Games Does Samsung’s Cloud Gaming Platform Include?

The service includes 23 playable games at launch, including free titles like Candy Crush Saga, Honor of Kings, and Monopoly Go. It also supports native Android APKs and in-game commercialization models. According to a report by Phone Arena, whenever users click an ad in the streaming service, they’ll be redirected to the Galaxy Store, where they can start playing without watching annoying videos or banner ads.

“In today’s mobile game ecosystem, 80% of Android game downloads are a direct result of targeted paid advertising in places where our attention is aggregated, “Samsung mentions in a press release. Highlighting that the industry average of conversion rates is less than 5% (with heavier cost implications), the release also mentions that Samsung has improved the metric to 50% “from initial click to game start.”

The Platform Also Improved Conversion Rates For Published (By 10 Times)

During beta testing, the cloud gaming platform also experienced substantial growth, with a 149% increase in monthly active users year-over-year. The Samsung Galaxy Cloud Gaming allows publishers to increase conversion rates by converting ad clicks into first gameplay. Moreover, the service allows the democratization of gaming by allowing users to access the games immediately without having to download large files and store them on the device.

For now, the service is available in North America. However, given the company’s success in other markets, there’s a good chance that it will expand the Mobile Cloud Gaming Platform in the near future. Stay tuned for more news updates about Samsung and other leading smartphone manufacturers.
