Samsung to launch a host of mid-range 5G smartphones soon: Read on to know more

South Korea-based tech giant Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S24 Series on January 17, 2024. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Series has 3 members- Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Apart from the launch of the flagship series, there was also news that the brand is planning to launch an affordable foldable in the latter half of 2024.

However, before that could materialize, the brand seems to be gearing up to launch a host of mid-range 5G smartphones belonging to A-Series, C-Series, and Y-Series. These devices have a signature Samsung design and have been spotted on the Korean certification website and CMIIT. Let us have a look at what these listings reveal.

Samsung Galaxy A35 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G has been seen on the Korean NRRA website which also shows the live image of the smartphone. It has the same design language as other Samsung devices that were announced in 2023 and has the model number A356N. Galaxy A35 5G has a triple camera setup at the back along with an LED flash. The Samsung logo is located at the bottom of the back panel. The weight of the device is 1.6kg. Reports claim that Galaxy A35 will be powered by Exynos 1350 chipset with 6GB RAM. It might feature a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging.

Samsung Galaxy A55 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G was also seen on the same website with the model number SM-A5560. The listing confirms that the smartphone will have 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It has the same iconic Samsung design that includes a triple camera setup at the back, an LED flashlight, and Samsung branding at the bottom. It has a boxy frame with a Key Island design from Samsung.

It has been certified by NBTC as well confirming a launch in Thailand soon. It will have dual sim support and 25W fast charging. Official renders of Galaxy A55 show off the device in Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy shades.

Samsung Galaxy C55/Y55 5G

The Samsung Galaxy C55/Y55 5G has been spotted with an SM-C5560 model number and has a standard power button and volume rockers on the edge. The name of the device is still unclear but it has also received the 3C and TENAA certifications. It is expected to have a 6.67-inch OLED panel and be powered by an unknown 2GHz CPU with 5G and WiFi 6 connectivity. There might be a main 50MP camera and it will run Android 14 out of the box. The mysterious smartphone is expected to pack a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging.

The smartphones are expected to launch in February-March 2024. Which one out of these will come to India and which one will be China-exclusive remains to be seen.
