Samsung is working on a mysterious Galaxy S25 model with the model number “SM-S937”, which will be announced in Q2 2025. It’s not surprising that Samsung would make such a move after learning that Apple will announce a “Slim” model. The brand has previously announced slim versions of some of its smartphones. Let’s take a short flashback to 2014.
Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S5 in March 2014. The Galaxy S5 had a thickness of 8.1mm. Galaxy Alpha was introduced a few months after the Galaxy S5 was introduced. Galaxy Alpha had a very thin design compared to the Galaxy S5. Galaxy Alpha came with a thickness of 6.7mm. Now almost 10 years have passed and Samsung has decided to design a thin smartphone again after 10 years. We should note that the official market name of this smartphone is not yet certain, so the rumored name “Galaxy S25 Slim” may change.

If we take a brief look at Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25 had the model numbers “SM-S931”, Galaxy S25+ “SM-S936” and Galaxy S25 Ultra “SM-S938”. Now, we’ve spotted that the brand is developing a mysterious Galaxy S25 model with the model number “SM-S937”. We have to say that the US variant of the device is visible, but we expect Samsung to add other variants of the device soon. The “U” at the end of the SM-S937U model number stands for the US.
This officially confirms that Samsung will add a 4th model to the Galaxy S25 series. This data is taken from the GSMA IMEI database and is absolutely accurate. As of yet, the smartphone appears with the market name “Galaxy”, the reason for this is that the brand does not want the name of the device to be leaked in case of leaks. That’s why we mentioned above that the name “Galaxy S25 Slim” has not been confirmed.
With the mysterious Galaxy S25 model already added to the GSMA database, also reveals when the launch date of the smartphone will be. Samsung adds any smartphone to this database 6-7 months before it launches and internally tests the devices. Many smartphone manufacturers test their products internally because they don’t want the end user to have any problems. This mysterious smartphone’s official launch date has been confirmed as Q2 2025 and we can definitely say that the special Galaxy S25 model will be introduced between April and May next year.
