After months of anticipation, Samsung Electronics has announced the public release of the One UI 7 beta program. Although the user interface isn’t available for everyone, it is available on the Galaxy S24 (review) series.
One UI 7 Adds New Features To Galaxy AI

First, One UI 7 brings updates to the Galaxy AI features, including advanced writing assist tools, which boost user’s productivity “where text can be selected, without needing to switch between applications.” One UI 7 also comes with automatic call transcripts, which support over 20 languages.

Introducing “Now Bar” On Samsung Galaxy Devices
In addition to the aforementioned upgrades, One UI 7 has a new notification system. The Now Bar highlights relevant activities through features like music, recording, interpreter, and more. As mentioned in the official press release, the feature eliminates the need to unlock the device and lets users manage important notifications from the lock screen itself.
Changes In The Home Screen And Native Camera App

Samsung also says that One UI 7 reduces visual clutter and enables intuitive mobile experiences. Apparently, the company has simplified the home screen to the latest software version and redesigned some widgets to grant users more control over every aspect.
Even the native One UI Camera app gets a new interface with easy controls over advanced settings. Along with the Camera buttons, controls, and modes, the manual settings in the Pro and Pro Video modes have also been tweaked a bit to make it easier for the end user.

For now, the beta program will be available for Galaxy S24 users in selected regions, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, starting December 5, 2024.
