Sennheiser Accentum Open Design
Over the years, I’ve met several people who find in-ear earbuds (those with a silicon tip) uncomfortable, whether it is due to how the fit feels or the pressure that such fits create. One of my closest friends still uses the good old AirPods (2nd Generation) with an open-ear design.
So, I believe this is the target audience for the product: buyers who aren’t into in-ear earbuds and want something simpler, less intrusive, and more comfortable. The Accentum Open feature an open-ear and lightweight design for all-day comfort.

Sennheiser Accentum Open Specifications And Features

First and foremost, the Accentum Open feature an 11mm dynamic driver unit that sits outside the ear canal. With a frequency range of 25 Hz to 15 kHz, the driver has a sensitivity of 109 bD, and a microphone frequency range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
The supported codecs include SBC and AAC. Each earbud carries a 36 mAh battery cell and weighs 4.35 grams, while the charging case packs in a 400 mAh cell and weighs 29.3 grams. With the key specifications out of the way, let’s move on to Accentum Open’s features.
Sennheiser claims that the TWS earbuds offer rich, detailed sound with clarity and depth. The exclusion of ANC on the earbuds is a conscious decision, primarily to keep users more aware and engaged with their surroundings, while also allowing them to enjoy their favorite music tracks.
While a single earbud can last up to 6.5 hours, the charging case extends the battery life up to 28 hours. If you’re running out of battery and need a quick boost, a 10-minute charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of listening. The nearest competitor that comes to mind, AirPods 4 (without ANC), offers up to five hours of listening time.
